The Breathing Tree was a collection of experiences that I contributed to in many different roles during my 4 years at AppliedVR from programmer, artist, animator, and producer.
As a user takes deep breaths the environment around them regrows and becomes lush. This world features 8 stages each with different lighting and environmental effects.
Working closey with Pain Psychology experts, we created this scene to coach users into breathing patterns to help treat their chronic pain symptoms. Unity's Timeline system was a great tool to sequence out events as the tree regrows.
